Rancho Cordova has an extraordinary sports history and it comes to life each fall during inductions into the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame.

The Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2015 to honor outstanding athletic achievements and efforts which have enhanced athletics in Rancho Cordova.

The Sports Hall of Fame promotes and provides inspiration to the community’s youth.

2020 Induction Date

Criteria for induction are not by place of birth, but for individuals who make their mark within Rancho Cordova, or those from Rancho Cordova who go on to high levels of achievement elsewhere. High standards of character and sportsmanship of the nominees will be considered in their selection, a process that will be conducted with the utmost integrity.
To be elected to the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame, the inductee must be judged to have attained significant achievements in or contributions to athletics. A candidate must have a clear connection with Rancho Cordova. Candidates may be living or deceased.
Above all, induction to the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame is for accomplishments in sports that generate a source of pride to the community, recognized annually at the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame event. Nominations may be made in three categories: Athletes, Coaches, and Heart of a Champion.

Induction Ceremony

The inductees will be honored during the 2018 Induction Ceremony slated for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at Rancho Cordova City Hall. Tickets for the event are $25 and will include an appetizer and cocktail reception and awards program. Tickets will be limited to 350, and the event promises to be a sell-out again.

The event is organized by the Rancho Cordova Athletic Association in partnership with the Cordova Community Council.
The Rancho Cordova Athletic Association was formed in 2013 to foster lifelong values of good sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy active lifestyles through development of excellent youth sports facilities and organizations, positive coaching and access to play for all.
